Strat style pickups. What makes mine unique?
-
Type 1:
Aged .195 Alnico 5 magnet rods calibrated for the most even sound I could get across the 6 strings. 42 awg Heavy Formvar wire developed to get the most out of the 50’s style sounds.
Type 2:
Aged .187 Alnico 5 magnet rods calibrated for the smooth sounds of the 60s. 42 awg plain enamel wire for a more laid back than the Type 1 pickups.
Type 3:
Aged .195 Alnico 3 magnet rods. 42 awg Heavy Formvar wire. A twist on the Type 1 set.
Type 4: .187 Alnico 5 magnet rods. 42 awg Single Formvar wire. Slightly overwound for a more modern sound.

Type 1:
Created to capture the best of the 50’s style sounds I could muster. Not a direct clone of anything tones that have authority and clarity that you have come to love from countless records over the years. More dynamic range than your average vintage pickup, but you’ll recognize the tone immediately.
Type 2:
These pickups are less upfront than the Type 1 set but they still pack that 60’s punch you’re looking for. This set matches mostly with the 60’s style pickups you know and love but adds an evenness that vintage clones lack. Extended dynamic range and you have a tasty recipe for sonic success.
Type 3:
Some folks just love the Alnico 3 sound. I happen to think this set takes the type 1 and goes in the “roll your sleeves up and get ready for battle” territory. Awesome touch response and highly focused in that vintage sound camp. Awesome for Blues and Jazz
Type 4:
This set rides the line between Type 1 and Type 2. It has a more punch than the 60s but a natural compression the 50’s don’t have. A perfect fit for those who want to cover a lot of sonic ground with a single guitar. These are some of my favorite pickups ever!

I do offer a RWRP middle pickup if needed. This is a custom request as it’s not my preference for these sets. I do understand the need and yes I can make them if required.
